Senior Paraplanner

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner (Financial Planner) to join one of the leading Financial Planning firms in the UK. Working alongside the company Directors you will support the provision of holistic financial advice to over 100 client families. You will also have the support of an administrative team and a team of trainee analysts, enabling you to dedicate 100% of your time to technical research and planning with clients, helping to create and manage their financial strategies.

Senior Paraplanner. £45-65,000 (dependant on experience) plus generous benefits package including 24 days’ holiday + bank holidays + excellent company pension + study support as required etc.

Job Description:

 Assist the Directors in the delivery of world class client service.
 Portfolio analysis – performance, asset allocation, progress towards goals and investment committee research.
 Assist with the preparation of investment recommendations with all attendant tax planning opportunities observed.
 Prepare compliant advice letters, detailed reports and financial plans.
 Create and maintain clients’ cash flow forecasts and assist with their presentation in client meetings.
 Ensure all supporting documentation and back office systems are maintained as per company procedures and processes and that all client files remain compliant.
 Provide an efficient, friendly and professional point of contact for clients and enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
 Attend client meetings with planners as required and produce follow up work to the highest standards of timeliness and accuracy.
 Assist in the processing and successful implementation of all clients’ financial plans.
 Technical research – regulatory, investment and product.
 CPD – ensuring you remain fully up to date with developments in legislation, investment and technology.
 Contribute to development of best practice within the Financial Planning Team.

Skills and Experience required:
 Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role (Financial Planner, Paraplanner, Financial Advisor).
 Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS).
 Attained (preferable) or working towards Certified/Chartered Financial Planner qualifications (support with this will be provided if required).
 Experience of holistic financial planning and dealing with high net worth clients with complex financial planning needs.
 Knowledge of all areas of financial planning – investment, pensions (including defined benefit transfers), protection, estate planning etc.
 In depth knowledge and experience of cashflow modelling.
 Professional appearance and comfortable and confident manner in front of company executives and demanding entrepreneurs.
 A collaborative team player and an exceptional relationship builder.
 Articulate, numerate, analytical with communication skills of the highest standards, both written and verbal.
