Last week, Tim, Andrew and I headed down to London to join fellow professionals at the Institute of Financial Planning’s (IFP’s) annual Accredited Firms conference.

Brook-Dobson Brear were one of the very first firms to satisfy the Institute’s rigorous criteria for this prestigious accreditation back in 2011 and it continues to be a differentiator of those firms which demonstrate the very highest standards of professionalism.  We are proud to still hold the accreditation today as it reflects our commitment to the very highest ethical, practice and professional standards.

At the conference we heard talks from leading thinkers in subjects as diverse as Regulation to Recruitment to Social Media.  However the principle benefit was to share ideas with some of the other professionals leading the way in innovation in the financial planning profession.

Andrew is a director of the IFP and chairs the institute’s ethics and practice standards committee.  All three of us hold the Certified Financial Planner accreditation and CFPcm designation which is the benchmark qualification for financial planners worldwide.

We are passionate about the power of financial planning to make a difference to our clients’ lives through our role as their personal finance director.  If you would like to hear more about it and why accredited firms are considered to be the leaders in our profession why not get in touch?
