Autumn bares its teeth at the first BDB golf day
Some very testing conditions for our friends and competitors at the inaugural BDB golf day yesterday. Blustery winds, squally showers and occasional sunshine all added to the challenge of the hills and fast greens at Moor Allerton.
After a light lunch spent learning the intricacies of the stableford scoring system, Tim soon had everyone on their way and the course looked in spectacular condition from our vantage point in the clubhouse. There would be prizes for the best team, longest drive and closest to the pin to play for.
After a tough test of golfing skill and good old Yorkshire grit in the weather, it was good to get everyone back home in the clubhouse in one piece and still smiling.
After some liquid refreshment it was time to sit down to some hearty cooking (thanks to the kitchen staff at Moor Allerton) and the awarding of prizes.
Many thanks to all who attended and to the staff at Moor Allerton for letting us loose on your beautiful golf course.
Getting such a large group of busy clients and friends together in the same place at the same time is no mean feat, not to mention all of the other organising that goes into an event like this. Special thanks to our own Harriet who did all the chasing, emailing and organising at BDB without whom such a fun day would not have been possible.
Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
