Tim Brear
Following MOD sponsorship through the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, Tim served as a regular army officer for five years, reaching the rank of Captain. He joined the financial services industry in the early 1990’s as an adviser with the national broker Towry Law and rose to Divisional Director, specialising in mid-career and retirement counselling. He subsequently set up and ran two financial services businesses within accountancy practices based in Leeds. During this time he delivered holistic planning advice to a range of clients both from the accountancy practices and his own historic clients. In some instances he has acted for three generations of the same family, an indication of the longevity of his approach.

Tim spent three years as a director of Pantheon Financial Management in Leeds where he concentrated on private client wealth management and financial planning. He was also responsible for the Leeds operation of Pantheon.
During his time as an advisor Tim has developed a client base including CEO’s, Presidents and FCO’s of some of the UK’s and US’s most well known companies; individuals, families and trusts of significant wealth; and business owner/managers. These clients each have their own needs and challenges, demanding that a wide variety of knowledge and experience are brought to bear. Key to the success of each client relationship is adherence to a holistic planning approach and the involvement of experts from other fields where appropriate.
Married with two school aged children, Tim has gained advanced levels of industry qualifications in key areas including taxation, trusts and pensions, and he holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC). His ability to apply this knowledge in real client scenarios is exemplified by him being awarded the Certified Financial Planner licence (CPF) – an internationally recognised accreditation administered in the UK by the Institute of Financial Planning. CFP holders, of which there are only just over 600 in the UK, are widely acknowledged as being the leading exponents of client focused impartial advice – a view supported by the press which only take quotes and commentary from CFP licencee’s.
His existing level of qualification, coupled with his depth of experience in planning strategies both for those making and having made their wealth, ensures clients have access to first rate advice and planning.
